Thunia alba is a deciduous, terrestrial or lithophytic orchid from Asia, known for its bamboo-like canes and fragrant, white, summer-blooming flowers with orange and purple markings on the lip. It requires bright, filtered light, high humidity during its active growth phase (spring/summer), and a crucial cool, dry winter dormancy period to encourage flowering. Care involves a free-draining, bark-based mix, regular watering during growth, and reduced watering in winter, with feeding during the growing season only.
