These warm to intermediate growing Dendrobiums are spring bloomers (March -April) that naturally occur in Southeast Asia and the southern part of China. Here in the United States they are fairly easy to cultivate. Give them plenty of bright light and lots of water during the summer and fall month and then taper off with fertilizer in November and drastically reduce watering, just enough so the bulbs do not shrivel up . This resting period is important for this type of Dendrobium in order to produce spikes. Too much water in the late fall and winter may trigger to plant to keep growing instead of setting spikes.
